Remembering 9/11

A day that I will personally remember the rest of my life is September 11, 2001. Every event of the day will be forever burned into my memory. America had been attacked. It was the day when I saw evil personified and it disgusted me. It was the day when I saw heroes stepping forward from every walk of life. It was the day when I saw charity that knew no bounds. It was the day when I saw America for the country she can be, and I loved her. I remember when then President Bush stood there among the rubble and said, "I can hear you."

To the innocent people who died, "We still hear you." To those working in the twin towers who were so violently attacked, "We still hear you." To the heroes who fought to stop the terrorists on flight 93, "We still hear you." To those in the Pentagon who were at work keeping America safe, "We still hear you." To the firefighters and police who risked or gave their lives, "We still hear you." To the volunteers who showed the world the bravery, perseverance, and compassion of America, "We still hear you." To the military who have fought and are still fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq, "We still hear you."

To all of you who where deeply effected by September 11, 2001, you are not alone. "We still hear you."

I will never forget, we will never forget,
God Bless you and America.
