Press Release -
What: Meet Arizona's first rocket scientist to run for Congress
Who: Ruth McClung, Republican candidate, AZ CD#7
Where: Booth Machinery, 6565 East 30th Street, Yuma
When: Tuesday, October 27, 2009, 7:00pm
You are invited to meet the most exciting candidate currently on Arizona's political scene. Ruth McClung is a real-life "Citizen Ruth" who seeks to bring intelligence, common sense and courage to Washington. In addition to her accomplishments as a physicist/engineer, Ruth is a competitive tennis player who attended college on an athletic scholarship, an avid rock climber, and an artist whose work is publicly displayed. Clearly, she is not your run-of-the-mill politician.
For Ruth, the days of standing on the sidelines watching our political leaders cripple our great country are over. Her grassroots campaign brings a welcomed, sensible change to the failed leadership of CD#7. Ruth says, "I believe the people need another choice! The incumbent Democrat has one of the most liberal voting records in Congress, and does not represent the people."
Ruth is aware of the importance of agribusiness, aerospace/defense and industrial manufacturing to Arizona. She will base decisions on her knowledge and expertise in problem solving, science, technology, and most importantly, the needs of her constituents. She will take strong, decisive stands on border security, true health care reform and a free market economy.
It takes courage to run a grassroots, conservative campaign against an incumbent in the democratic stronghold of CD#7. As you can tell, Ruth has the courage it takes and much more. On October 27th, she will be in Yuma to meet with leaders of the Yuma County Republican Party. If you would like to schedule an interview before the meeting you may call Ruth's campaign manager, Gini Crawford, at (520) 579-5734.
